You can get tick bites in Perth too. My mother-in-law got a few
ticks on her when she visited Perth last Sept and guess what she
suffered some rash too. That's how I related my rash with the tick
otherwise I would keep on thinking I had bed bugs.
My mother-in-law's rash is not as severe as mine though. Probably
because her skin is not as sensitive as mine. However, we are still
trying to convince her to see the doctor to get the rash
treated.
Don't let it put you off. Just have insect repellent and make sure
you tuck your pants into your shoes etc...
We can get ticks in the Gippsland area in Victoria too.... however
I think they are not as nasty as the ones you get in the Tropical
area.
